Today, I am sharing something I recently read, a story about an Indian man and a wolf – or two.
Write down a list of everything you are trying to do. All the things that don’t usually go on your to do list.
We are our own worst enemy. We speak to ourselves in ways we would never speak to a good friend.
When did you last have fun? I don’t mean a day away, a week off or a visit to the local Comedy store. I mean the sort of fun that you can schedule into every day?
After much laughter, it was obvious to the police office that a) we were in a car we were not familiar with, b) we were tourists and c) we thought he was very cute.

It only takes 5 days and is not a diary you complete every evening, forever. You just do this for 5 days and then when you need a boost, you do it again.
Each year, we all write a list of things that make us happy. This can be anything from “having a cup of tea in peace” to “getting to watch RHO Beverley Hills without being asked why I watch it”.

I have read soooooo many books and articles on productivity but they all work from the assumption that you are off the sofa and ready to do. I needed something that started with me on the sofa, thinking about doing but then procrastinating.
Good teachers, the ones who love what they do, care about the kids and love seeing kids “get it” are such a huge asset to children.
I was the Queen of Procrastination. I made myself so many promises to improve my productivity but still found myself putting off everything until the very last minute, all the time stressing about what needed doing or reading more articles on how to improve your productivity or stop procrastinating.
When you have a child, everyone has a tip to share, their absolute must have best advice But some days it feels like everyone just wants to tell you what you’re doing wrong. Or at least that is how feels as a new mum who hasn’t had a good nights sleep for months.
I know the power of routines for my children but I hadn’t realised how much I needed routines to get me through the day until recently.
This comes under my “finish what I start” category but if I am honest, the only start I had made on many projects was pinning the idea on Pinterest for inspiration at a later date.
Motivational quotes, such as “she knew she could so she did” are all very lovely but how many of us actually read that and get motivated.
How many of us see that and think “oh how motivational, I must share that on Instagram”
Now, although my accent has changed, I am no longer regarded as having a Northern accent when I am up North but I am also not regarded as having a Southern accent when I am down south. The Northerners think I speak like a Southerner and the Southerners think I speak like a Northerner.
I think I saw myself through her eyes. I was explaining about the difficulties and her response was “Debs, sorry love but I think you’re just lazy, there’s no excuse”
The only way I can make next month a better one is to draw a line under this month and accept that it happened and that I cannot change it.
